the mission
OpenBiome is a nonprofit stool bank expanding safe access to fecal transplants and catalyzing research on the human microbiome. They commissioned me to create a visual identity and a series of ads to influence individuals in the Boston area to donate to the cause.

a series of compelling advertisements which feature minimalist illustrations of various cheery characters, creating a personal and quirky touch to a visual identity that feels inspiring and friendly.

the outcome
OpenBiome's Marketing Manager:
“Since we began running bus shelter ads on July 20th, we’ve seen our web traffic increase by 50% compared to the previous period.”
“We’ve also seen organic search traffic increase by 50%, certainly due in part to the bus shelter ads.”
“The number of applicants to our stool donor program increased dramatically after the out-of-home ads began and conversions from direct traffic increased by almost 180% compared to prior months. This translated to a much greater donor pool for OpenBiome, which was the goal of these campaigns.”
